4 weeks till big school

Good evening, I hope you've all had a good weekend.

It's hard to believe we only have 4 weeks left until we finish for the summer!!!! So with this in mind Lambs are getting ready for their big transition to school 😢😢 They are doing lots of group time learning, putting their hands up, taking turns, listening to others and lots of independent skills along with a transition to school PowerPoint. They have been taking photos on the camera which has led to lots of conversations about holidays and the different places they have been or they are going 🌞🌞 Piglets have enjoyed their seaside role play, making sand castles and exploring the different sea shells the children brought in 🐚🐚🐚 At snack time the children made tuna sandwiches, using knives safely to butter the bread & mixing together the tuna and mayonnaise 😋😋😋 They have been practicing their cutting skills using the scissors to cut out comics & magazines. There has been lots of water play outside due to the hot weather 💦💦🌞 pouring, measuring, watering good fun had by all!! We have been learning about the importance of staying safe in the sun. Putting on sun cream, wearing hats, drinking lots of water and staying inside when it is too hot 😅😅 This week the children will be practicing their races on Greentrees field ready for our Sports Day on Thursday 29th @ 11am. Everyone is welcome and there will be cakes & drinks available for sale afterwards. Parents don't forget your running shoes for the mum & dads races 😊😊😊
